FRE 101 - ELEMENTARY FRENCH I
4.0 Credits
This course consists of a study of the four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, including an introduction to French culture. (Admission to 101 is restricted to students who have never studied French previously or who have been placed by examination into 101.)

FRE 102 - ELEMENTARY FRENCH II
4.0 Credits
This course continues the development of basic language skills and includes a study of French culture. It stresses the grammar and vocabulary necessary for fundamental communications skills. (Admission to 102 is restricted to students who have completed FRE 101 with a grade of "C" or better or who have been placed by examination into 102.)

GER 101 - ELEMENTARY GERMAN I
4.0 Credits
This course is a study of the four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course includes an introduction to German culture. (Admission to 101 is restricted to students who have never studied German previously or who have been placed by examination into 101.)

GER 102 - ELEMENTARY GERMAN II
4.0 Credits
This course continues the development of the four basic language skills and the study of German culture. (Admission to 102 is restricted to students who have completed GER 101 with a grade of "C" or better or who have been placed by examination into 102.)

SPA 101 - ELEMENTARY SPANISH I
4.0 Credits
This course is a study of the four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, including an introduction to the Spanish culture. (Admission to 101 is restricted to students who have never studied Spanish or who have been placed by examination into 101.)

SPA 102 - ELEMENTARY SPANISH II
4.0 Credits
This course continues development of the basic language skills and the study of the Spanish culture. It stresses the grammar and vocabulary necessary for fundamental communications skills. SPA 122 - BASIC PROFICIENCY IN SPANISH
4.0 Credits
This course covers the practice and further development of essential listening, reading, speaking and writing skills. (Admission to 122 is restricted to students who have completed SPA 102 with a grade of "C" or better or who have been placed by examination into 122.)
